Situated in the middle of the Eyre Peninsula, Wudinna is a small, rural community situated 693km east of the SA/WA border and 580km west of Adelaide. Wudinna is best known for its “Granite Country” and cereal cropping and home to the recently built Granite Sculpture “The Australian Farmer.” Wudinna is just steps away from the spectacular Gawler Rangers National Park, Mount Wudinna and other stunning scenic wonders.

Permits are required to visit the National Park and these can be obtained at the local council, Post Office or the Wudinna and Districts Telecentre.
Mount Wudinna is one of Australia's largest granite monoliths and should not be missed on your next trip to Wudinna. Located 12kms northeast of Wudinna the hike to the top will definitely be well worth it with panoramic views for miles. At the base of the rock there are walking trails, BBQ areas, shelter, picnic and toilet facilities.
Polda Rock recreational Reserve is located 5kms from Wudinna, there is barbecue and toilet facilities located at the base of the rock as well as a large watering hole proving a home for an abundance of wildlife. A popular destination for bird watching, short walks and picnics.
The Granite Sculpture the “Australian Farmer” is the newest addition to Wudinna it stands 8 metres high and recognises the commitments of the community, from the early settlers to today.
